Chiba Zoological Park
A variety of animals can be seen, including the very popular red panda.
A total of 769 animals (as of the end of January 2021) of about 123 species, including mammals, birds, and fish, are kept and exhibited here. The animals are divided into various zones such as the Monkey Zone, Small Animal Zone, and Birds and Water System Zone. There are also facilities such as the "Children's Zoo" with animals for children, the "Animal Science Museum" designed with the theme of a zoo as a place for learning, and the "Fureai Animal Village" where visitors can directly touch the animals.
The zoo is dedicated to the breeding of primates from around the world, especially rare species that are threatened with extinction. It also features a wide range of collections, from powerful large carnivores and raptors to small animals that children can easily befriend.
At the Fureai Animal Village, visitors can experience horse riding and feeding animals. There is also a café and a space where you can enjoy BBQ, making it a fun place for both adults and children.
