This music-themed museum is tucked against the shores of Lake Kawaguchi. The grounds feature a European atmosphere, wide open views and a one-of-a-kind look and feel with Mt. Fuji sitting in the background.
There are 5 different ways to enjoy this museum. The first is to dive into a world of timeless, music classics. Inside the museum you’ll find a dynamic collection of rare, automatic instruments that perform on their own, including ones that were made to play on the Titanic, an overside music box, and one of the world’s largest dance organ, a massive instrument that plays on its own. As if the sounds weren’t impressive enough on their own, the gorgeously decorated organ hall is decked out like a picture-perfect dance hall.
The second tip is to visit for concert events. Whether it’s a weekend or holiday, this museum holds several music concerts and shows for you to enjoy the full reverb of live music.
The third is to swing by for a bite and unforgettable views. The museum “Mori no Restaurant” (Forest Restaurant) and café are serving up delicious food and gorgeous views to enjoy.
The fourth, is to try out some shopping. Inside the museum shop you’ll find an array of music boxes to browse. For the crafty crowed, you can even try making your own music box by hand.
The fifth and final is to enjoy a stroll and pictures. The museum garden is breathtakingly gorgeous, offering up a variety of spots for you to take the perfect snap to commemorate your trip!
