A popular natural hot spring with a superb view from the top of the mountain at the altitude of 700m. Opened in 1999, "Kocchi-no-yu (this bath)" is a hot spring with a simple and calm atmosphere and is popular among the local people. Within this place, there are indoor and outdoor baths, and you are able to enjoy a superb view of Mt. Fuji and the Kofu Basin while soaking in the hot springs. In addition, the bath is divided into Nuru-yu (warm water temperature) and Atsu-yu (hot water temperature), and it is also nice that you are able to have a relaxing time in accordance with your taste of water temperature.
"Acchi-no-yu (that bath)" built along the mountain boasts twice the scale of Kocchi-no-yu , moreover, the overlooking view is also spectacular.
You are certainly able to see Mt. Fuji from Acchi-no-yu, and it is open at night as well so that you are able to see the beautiful night sky called "the starry sky is the ceiling" at night.
Since Hottarakashi Onsen opens one hour before sunrise, you are able to enjoy the sunrise while soaking in the hot springs. The hot spring quality is simple alkaline so that it is mild and less- irritant on the skin. It allows those who have weaker skin to relax slowly, as a result, it is being popular to a wide range of age groups, from small children to the elderly.
