Gifu World Rose Garden (Hana Festa Memorial Park)
One of the world’s largest rose gardens, with a wide range of roses from the most recent to the old.
A wide variety of roses are planted, from the original species, old roses, to the latest domestic and foreign ones. The park boasts one of the world’s largest collections of rose species, and the vast garden of about 800,000 square meters is filled with blooming roses and other seasonal flowers.
The park features a 45-meter high “Flower Tower” with a panoramic view of the surrounding area, a “Poppo” trackless train, one of Gifu’s largest playground complexes, and a water playground (only during summer). The Flower Museum has various exhibits related to Akechi Mitsuhide.
There are many photogenic spots, such as “Welcome Garden” with blooming roses as far as the eye can see, and “Flower Earth Pavilion”, a year-round greenhouse with vibrant flowers and greenery. These are great spots for commemorative photos for children, families, and couples.
This is a place where you can enjoy it in various ways, with a cafe where you can spend relaxing time looking at roses, and stores related to flowers and plants.
