Yudaki
From the observation deck in front of the waterfall basin, a full impact sight can be seen.
Lake Yuno-ko is located at the foot of Mt. Nikko-Shirane , one of the 100 famous mountains in Japan. The waterfall with a height of 70 meters and a length of 110 meters located at the southern end is Yudaki. You can see the lake water flowing down the rock wall of the Mitake lava flow that dammed Yukawa and created Yuno-ko. It is considered one of the three Oku-Nikko waterfalls along with Kegon Falls (Kegon-no-taki) and Ryuzu Falls (Ryuzu-no-taki).
A walking trail is provided on the side of the waterfall, and you can see the waterfall from the three sides of the waterfall, the lip, the basin, and the side. Especially from the observation deck in front of the waterfall basin, you can see a full impact sight up close. The area around Yudaki is also a famous place for azaleas and rhododendrons (shakunage), and many tourists visit here in spring.
There is a hiking course from the observation deck to the Senjogahara Nature Research Trail, and it is also recommended to enjoy the scenery while taking a walk. In the middle of the course, you can see the wetlands registered with the Ramsar Convention and the Nikko Mountains.
