Fishermen’s food Kanaya

Kanaya offers superbly fresh seafood with a panoramic sea view in the Uchibo area. Their seafood menu includes locally caught fish such as sea bream and flatfish as well as horse mackerel from a tank which is rarely seen in any other areas and thick conger eel, a specialty of Futtsu City. Don't miss the local kajime seaweed and especially grilled shellfish (set price from 1,980 yen) that can be cooked on the individual grills at each table including turban shells, giant clams, scallops, and other live shellfish!

Among such a wide range of menus, the most popular one by far is the Kanaya sashimi meal (1,782 yen). This set meal is served on a sashimi boat with horse mackerel and four other selected seasonal fish. A whole horse mackerel is used for sashimi and served in an artful presentation, making it an extraordinal dish.

You can stroll around the coastline in front of the restaurant after the dining. Families love to play here in the warm season. Also, the natural hot spring bath facility "Umibe-no-Yu," is offering day trips for guests at the same premises. This "natural hot spring set in Misaki" provides a relaxing bath experience, overlooking the sea in the Uchibo area while listening to the gentle sound of the waves.
