Lake Motosu round trip boat Moguran
A submarine-type sightseeing boat sailing on Lake Motosu.
The Motosu-ko sightseeing boat "Moguran" is a submarine-type sightseeing boat that cruises around Motosu-ko, the westernmost of the five lakes of Fuji. Although it has the appearance of a submarine, it does not actually dive, hence the name "Moguran". The form of the ship is completely submarine-like, with a design reminiscent of the Yellow Submarine. Both the exterior and the interior are based on the color yellow, with blue and red mixed in, making it a pop and cute cruise ship.
It has a periscope, a round window, and a communication tube that allows conversation between the ship and the deck.
A fish finder allows you to check the fish and water depth in real time, and a window in the bottom of the boat allows you to actually look at the water and fish, so that you can enjoy more than just the scenery on the lake. Lake Motosu is home to carp, kokanee salmon (himemasu), rainbow trout, and Japanese dace, so be sure to look out the window at the bottom of the boat.
The view from the deck is also very impressive. Lake Motosu is the deepest of the Fuji Five Lakes, with a transparency of about 12 meters, making it a beautiful lake with excellent water quality. Depending on the weather, you can also enjoy a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji.
As we enjoy the beautiful scenery and the facilities on board, the 25-minute cruise passes in the blink of an eye. The area around Lake Motosu is off-limits to powerboats, so there is no need to worry about playing in the water or fishing.
