Shuzenji Onsen has been flourishing as the oldest hot spring resort in Izu Peninsula throughout over its 1200 years of history. Sora Togetsusou Kinryu offers a variety of open-air baths using the Shuzenji hot spring which has been popular for many centuries.
Their open-air bath space was created by space designer Hisanobu Tsujimura, and is in a uniquely illuminated and romantic setting. The peaceful open-air baths are connected to the main indoor bath and surrounded by beautiful natural landscape. One of open-air baths allow you to bathe while wearing bathing garments and provides the best relaxing time with a perfect view of the sun setting behind Mt. Daruma. In addition, there are two different rental outdoor baths. You will never get tired of them.
This hotel’s attraction is not only a hot spring. Sora also offers a magnificent Japanese garden of about 12 acres, making it a blissful place with seasonal flowers blooming all along with and the sounds of the flowing river and chirping birds.
In the garden, there are five stone monuments for the "Katsura Valley 88 Places Tour," where visitors can pray for family safety, good health, and the fulfillment of great aspirations. Sense the presence of the spiritual power that has existed during its long history. The German chairs and sofas in the garden are available for relaxing and unwinding one’s mind.
