A geological stratum formed 81 million years ago during the dinosaur era in Nagasaki peninsula. In the dinosaur speciality museum, about 180 samples, mainly fossils found in the stratum, are exhibited. A permanent exhibition room is parted into five categories, Land of Nagasaki, Age of Dinosaur, Age of Burning Stone, and so on, at each of which easy explanations are provided.

There is a noteworthy space filled with an attractiveness of mesozoic creatures. Triceratops’ bone is touchable as well as genuine fossils, a specimen replica of Tyrannosaurus, which is world’s largest size dinosaur nicknamed as Trix, is exhibited only here in Japan, and a spectacle dinosaur robot is operated, and more, many unique samples are crammed.

A tour guided by a curator or an instructor, a workshop regarding dinosaurs is open, interesting contents are prepared to show. Original goods such as T-shirts and eco-bag with a cute motif of illustrated Tyrannosaurus are on sale at a museum shop.
