Otaru City International Information Center (Canal Plaza)

This facility is located along the Otaru canal and is housed in a historical building, the “Former Otaru Warehouse”. There is a shop selling local products, a coffee shop and a tourist information center.

The staff who speak English, Chinese, and Korean are stationed in “The International information center” and they give you various information in your mother language.
The Information Center provides a wide range of information on Otaru and Shiribeshi, including tourist information, accommodations, transportation, tours as well as seasonal information such as cherry blossoms and autumn leaves.

You can also learn about the history of Otaru by viewing old maps and photographs of the city. Various events and exhibitions are held in the multi-purpose gallery.
