It is a fish market located at Shinminato Fisherman's Wharf that sells freshly caught seafood from Toyama Bay. Visitors can enjoy seasonal sashimi, seafood rice bowls, and set menus at reasonable prices, as well as grill and eat fresh seafood, at restaurants and eat-in spaces. Also local specialties such as “Masu-zushi” (trout sushi), marinated firefly squid, dried fish, and fish cakes are available. There are events related to seafood, local products, and food throughout the year, as well as noon auctions that begin at 12:30 p.m. every day except Wednesdays and Sundays.

Toyama Bay is well-known for its abundance of seafood, so much so that it is also called a “natural fish tank”. The fresh seasonal seafood is unloaded in Toyama Bay, including Japanese glass shrimp, also known as the “jewel of Toyama Bay” for its beautiful, shining pale pink color, live yellowtail in icy water, and firefly squid, which has a plump texture and flavorful guts.
