Yoshigaura Onsen Lamp no Yado

Long ago, this secret hot spring at the edge of Oku-Noto was reachable only by boat. A legend says nature’s power converges here, and it is called the “Sacred Cape.” The premises are dotted with the Blue Cave, Power Hole, etc. You will experience a stay with mystic scenery.

All guest rooms have an ocean view. Nine rooms in all come in different designs such as a Japanese style with the graceful wooden beams and tatami mats, a western style with a hot spring bathroom, a cottage in a boathouse style against a cliff, etc. While most reservations come from couples, there is luxurious accommodation for a single adult. At sunset, guest wings are lit with lamps for a dreamy ambience. Originally, lamps were used because electricity was not available in this secluded region. Today with the convenience of electric service, they still cherish the atmosphere of the old days.

The meals are provided with Noto’s local seasonal ingredients from the ocean and mountains. Oku-Noto is registered as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage and its famous delicacy is blackthroat seaperch (rosy seabass), a rare golden brand. There is a special menu featuring it, abalone, Noto pufferfish, Noto beef, etc.

Outdoor hot spring with an amazing view has male and female sections. There is also a hot spring in an independent wing for rent. With the ocean before you and the glass ceiling, the private open space will make you at home and savor the scenery and hot spring.
