Last update :

Overlooking one of Japan's 100 famous mountains, "Kaimondake", this seaside park presents a vast view of the magnificent East China Sea right before your eyes. If you visit during low tide, you can walk atop the rugged reefs almost all the way out to sea, delighting in encounters with small fish swimming in the shallows and various shellfish.

Especially notable is a spot where the reef erodes in a circular pattern, creating a "Sea Pond" filled with seawater. There's a lingering legend that this spot was once the entrance to the Dragon Palace. The surrounding sea is revered as the habitat of the "seahorse" or "Tatsunootoshigo", regarded as a deity of good fortune, with several spots dedicated to this theme. The "Kissyo" is a bell built for tourists visiting this location; ringing it a specific number of times allows visitors to make wishes for successful love, safe childbirth, and improved health.

Experience offering a "Shell Ema", where visitors write their wishes on a scallop shell. Moreover, the park houses Japan's only Seahorse Farm ("Tatsunootoshigo House"), where you can observe the intriguing behavior of this endangered species up close.
