Fukuroda Falls, a prominent tourist spot in Ibaraki, are located in Taki River which stems from Kuji River running through Okukuji District. The great waterfall is 120m-tall and 73m-wide, one of Japan's Three Great Waterfalls along with Kegon Falls in Tochigi and Nachi Falls in Wakayama. It was also selected into 100 best waterfalls in Japan.

The water falls on four rocky terraces, thus called Yodo (Four-times) Falls. A legend says Reverend Saigyo came here and praised “You have to come to the falls once in each four seasons to know the real beauty.”

Fresh green in spring, the powerful splash in summer, stunning fall colors and mysterious frozen waterfall in winter - the ever-changing sight in seasons charms every visitor. From fall to winter, the Daigo Light event illuminates the waterfall. Come and experience the captivating space made of nature and lights yourself.
