The park is located in the middle and upper reaches of the Akutagawa River, which flows the center of Takatsuki City in northern Osaka Prefecture in the north-south direction.
As a scenic spot in the Hokusetsu area where visitors can feel the rich nature of the valley, the park is visited by many people from outside the city as well as Takatsuki citizens.
The vast 42.65 hectares of land is all mountain forest.
There is a plaza where children can run around and play, as well as a nature trail where visitors can enjoy strolling while viewing odd-shaped rocks such as Gyoja-iwa and Hachijo-iwa, cliffs, and waterfalls.
There is also a hiking course to the top of the mountain, which is popular among hikers as a spot where they can casually enjoy mountain climbing.

The park, with its rich natural environment, offers visitors a variety of seasonal expressions throughout the year.
The park is full of different seasonal delights, such as spring when the 230 cherry trees beautifully bloom, early summer when fireflies gracefully fly around the clear river, summer when you can enjoy playing in the river, and autumn when the entire park is decorated with beautiful autumn leaves.
There is also a barbecue garden and an Italian restaurant nearby, where visitors can spend a whole day relaxing and enjoying the peaceful natural surroundings.
