Kawamura Farm CAFE
A farm-run café proud to serve dishes made with fresh, locally grown vegetables and fruits.
Kawamura Farm in the Miho area specializes in greenhouse cultivation of tomatoes, melons, edamame, and more. Its weekend-only café, run by the 12th-generation owners, serves dishes made with vegetables and fruits harvested directly from the farm.
The café relocated to its current space in 2016. Featuring a warm, organic atmosphere with generous use of wood, the interior-including tables and chairs-was handmade by the owner. Produce grown in Miho’s sandy, well-drained soil is known for its high natural sweetness. The tomato juice and smoothies, praised for their perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, are so delicious that even people who usually dislike tomatoes often find their image completely changed. The lunch set, which includes a vegetable-packed minestrone and pizza toast, is also very popular.
The café’s signature parfaits appear according to the season-featuring strawberries, muskmelons, Shine Muscat grapes, mandarins, and more. The standout item is the muskmelon parfait, piled so high with perfectly ripe melon that it overflows from the glass-an indulgence possible only from a melon-growing farm. Freshly picked mini tomatoes, melons, and other produce are also sold inside the café.
