Nagaike Shinsui Park

A popular park known as a great viewpoint where you can admire Mt. Fuji in full.

Last update :

Lake Yamanaka is located in the Gunnai region in southeastern Yamanashi Prefecture. On the lake’s north shore, this park offers a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji across the water. With nothing to block the view, you can take in Mt. Fuji in full, and a lakeside walking path is also in place. It’s a perfect viewpoint where you can enjoy Mt. Fuji from summit to foothills, almost as if it’s floating on the lake, without worrying about cars.

Two of the most popular photo moments of Mt. Fuji are “Diamond Fuji,” when the sun aligns with the summit and shines like a diamond, and “Upside-Down Fuji,” when Mt. Fuji is reflected on the surface of a lake and you can see its inverted shape. Since you can take in Mt. Fuji in full here, it’s also a favorite photo spot.

It’s also famous for its mute swans, which can be seen year-round. Another highlight is photographing mute swans standing with Mt. Fuji in the background.
