Rolling hills, wide-open views of Mt. Fuji and the Kofu Basin—and a vineyard that’s been tended for more than 100 years. Here, everything stays in-house, from grape harvesting and vinification to bottling and sales, resulting in wines that let you taste the terroir unique to this land.

Renovated in September 2022, it has been transformed into a more enjoyable destination for wine lovers. At the newly built “Fujimi Terrace,” settle in with a glass of wine and take in the scenery spread out right in front of you. The wine shop, with the ambiance of a cellar, features a tasting counter—an easy way to try wines by the glass before choosing your favorites.

Several paid winery tours are available as well, depending on what you’re looking for. On the paid “FROM FARM Winery Tour,” which lets you experience the entire winery—from a walk through the vineyards to a visit to the cellar—you can also taste rare premium wines. It’s a luxurious adult getaway where you can enjoy Japanese wine with all five senses.

  • As soon as you get there, the huge vineyards really grab your attention. The views are amazing, and on a clear day it’s super relaxing—like you can just zone out on the hillside for a while. Everything is kept really clean, and it doesn’t feel like a noisy tourist factory at all. It’s actually pretty quiet.

If you join a tour or do a tasting, it’s a nice experience. The staff’s explanation isn’t stiff, and even if you don’t know much about wine, you can still follow along. The wines lean smooth and easy to drink—not intimidating—so beginners can comfortably give them a try.
