Teida Glass Studio

Located along the beautiful beaches of Onna Village in northern Okinawa, Teida Glass Studio is a hands-on workshop where you can experience the magic of creating your own Ryukyu glass. Visitors not only get to observe the glassblowing process up close but also try their hand at making a one-of-a-kind original glass piece alongside skilled artisans. The experience involves heating molten glass, wrapping it around a blowpipe, and carefully blowing and shaping it into form.

You can choose from various glass styles, including round glasses, rock glasses, and tumblers. Basic colors include blue, aqua, green, and clear, with additional hues like pink, yellow, orange, and violet available for an extra fee. Don’t worry if you’re a beginner—professional guidance is provided throughout, making it a fun and safe activity for all.
The crafting session takes approximately 15–30 minutes, and your finished piece will be professionally cooled and polished by the workshop staff. You can pick it up the next business day.

Inside the workshop, there’s also a retail corner featuring vibrant, handcrafted Ryukyu glassware and adorable accessories—perfect for souvenirs or heartfelt gifts. Whether for yourself or someone special, this is a truly memorable Okinawan experience.
