Ishigaki Yaima Village is a theme park located on a hill overlooking the famous Nagura Bay, where visitors can immerse themselves in the nature and culture of Ishigaki Island. Historic houses, over 100 years old, have been relocated to this lush setting, faithfully recreating the charm of Yaeyama life from days gone by.

The village offers unique programs where visitors can connect with nature and animals, such as strolling along a boardwalk through one of Japan's most significant mangrove forests without getting their feet dirty, or interacting with over 60 friendly squirrel monkeys. Guests can also see the crested serpent eagle, a nationally designated natural treasure, and water buffalo that historically aided in farming and transport in the Yaeyama region. Don't miss the folk music and dance performances held inside the traditional houses, accompanied by the sounds of the sanshin.
Visitors can also enjoy hands-on activities, such as painting unglazed shisa statues, creating hoshizuna (star sand) art, or dressing up in vibrant Ryukyuan costumes.

The adjoining drive-in restaurant serves local delicacies, including yaima soba and jushi (seasoned rice), while the gift shop offers a wide variety of souvenirs to take home.
