Lamune Onsenkan
A carbonated hot spring miracle like ramune! Feel those bubbles refresh you from the core.
A day-use hot spring facility in Nagayu Onsen, a hot spring area surrounded by peaceful scenery and beautiful mountains and known for producing some of the world’s best carbonated hot spring waters.
Designed by architect Terunobu Fujimori, the facility’s striking black-and-white striped exterior stands out. Inside, there’s also an art museum displaying works such as writings by renowned author Yasunari Kawabata, creating a comfortable atmosphere much like a high-end ryokan.
The main large bath area has a 107.6°F indoor milky bath and a 89.6°F open-air Lamune Onsen bath, where ramune-like fizzy bubbles wrap around your body. Both let you enjoy natural hot spring water, free-flowing from the source. Try alternating between the indoor and outdoor baths for a big boost in hot bath benefits!
There are also private family baths available on a first-come, first-served basis on-site (from 2,000 yen per hour). These also draw two types of water at 107.6°F and 89.6°F, making them recommended for anyone who wants to fully enjoy the appeal of carbonated hot springs in a more private setting.
