Seibu Chichibu Ekimae Onsen Matsuri no Yu

This multi-purpose hub and hot springs brings you the latest and greatest from Chichibu, just on the front stoop of Seibu Chichibu Station. The building’s theme is a nod to the vibrant festival flair that people know and love from Chichibu, thanks to the 300+ festivals that launch in the area each year. Step inside for an eye-popping wash of hanging lanterns and traditional mikoshi (portable shrines), creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a lively Japanese festival.

Many pin this spot on the map for its open-air bath, offering a spectacular view of Mt. Bukō, the symbol of Chichibu. The hot spring water, sourced from 2,000 meters underground, is used in a rock bath and seasonal-themed baths such as the Hanami-yu (flower-viewing bath). The facility also features a carbonated bath, jet bath, private sauna rooms (additional charge required), and relaxation spaces, providing a well-rounded onsen experience.

The food court serves famed local eats that hail from Chichibu like Waraji Katsu (pork cutlet on rice) and Miso Potato, alongside a wide selection of local sake, wine, and craft beer.
