Kouri Island in northern Okinawa, surrounded by emerald-green seas and white sandy beaches, is a popular spot where you can easily enjoy abundant nature. Although it is a remote island, it is connected to Okinawa Main Island by bridge.
Opened in September 2024, YAWN YARD Kouri Island is an accommodation facility based on the concept of a “garden you can stay in.” It is divided into two areas, one close to the sea (sea) and one on a small hill (hill), and all eight rooms are independent private villas where you can relax without worrying about being seen. The guest rooms, filled with the warmth of wood, are stylish yet calm, luxurious spaces. You can enjoy the island’s nature with all five senses. The resort-style ocean-view pools are also highly recommended (available in all rooms except the Japanese-style room).
Enjoy your meals in the semi-outdoor dining space in each room while taking in the view. For both breakfast and dinner, you can choose from three courses made with seasonal local ingredients and based on traditional Okinawan home cooking.
