Ecorin Village

One of Japan’s largest sheep farms, located in Eniwa City in central Hokkaido. At its peak, it raises Approx. 1,000 sheep, and in spring, the lambing season, around 400 baby lambs are born.

A major highlight is “Tomato Forest,” grown hydroponically from a single seed. Approx. 20,000 tomatoes can be harvested from the vines spreading overhead, and it has been recognized with a world record as the world’s largest tomato tree. From late June to early July, the rose garden, where roses are cultivated for food products such as jam and tea, is also open to the public for a limited time and is well worth seeing.

For meals, head to the farm restaurant “Rakudaken.” While taking in the peaceful view of the sheep pasture, you can enjoy wood-fired pizza and pasta made with seasonal ingredients.

The grounds are also packed with easy ways to enjoy the outdoors, including a campground with a variety of site types such as dog run sites and auto campsites, as well as a BBQ house where all the necessary equipment is provided, so you only need to bring food and drinks. You can also enjoy wool craft workshops and reservation-only hands-on programs.
