Based in Muroran Port, Star Marine is a marine leisure company offering a wide range of cruising experiences. From night cruises and harbor tours to dolphin watching, each course lets you enjoy Muroran’s natural scenery and city lights from the water, tailored to your interests.

One of its signature experiences is the Night Cruise, where you can admire Muroran’s dramatic factory nightscape and the illuminated Shiratori Bridge, the largest suspension bridge in eastern Japan. For daytime visitors, the popular Shiratori Bridge Tower Climb Cruise offers the rare chance to ascend the bridge’s main tower-an area normally off-limits to the public.

To fully experience Muroran’s dynamic nature, the Cape Chikyu Scenic Cruise and Dolphin Watching tours are also highly recommended. The scenic cruise follows a rugged coastline of dramatic cliffs, visiting six of the famed “Muroran Eight Views,” including Cape Chikyu. The dolphin watching tour, available from June to August, heads out into Funka Bay in search of wild dolphins, with the chance to also encounter whales, orcas, and northern fur seals along the way.
