Sunayama Beach

Located on the west coast of Miyakojima, this beach is reached by crossing a sand hill, just as its name suggests. At the top of the hill, a striking view suddenly unfolds: a vivid cobalt-blue sea and a naturally formed arch-shaped rock. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful and leaves a powerful impression on first-time visitors.

The scenery created by pure white sand piled over uplifted coral reefs, crystal-clear shallows, and the natural frame of the arch rock is picture-perfect from every angle. In the shallow waters, you can casually enjoy snorkeling and playing in the water, and during the day, the sunlight makes the sea shine even more brilliantly. around sunset, you may catch the sun setting through the rock arch, creating a romantic atmosphere.
*A protective net has been installed over the arch-shaped rock to help prevent collapse.

Facilities are minimal, but restrooms and paid showers are available. There is also parking for Approx. 50 cars, making access by rental car easy. There are no restaurants or shops nearby, so it is best to prepare anything you need in advance.
