Furano Ski Resort is located just 10 minutes by car from downtown Furano in Hokkaido. It is also known as part of the “Hokkaido Powder Belt,” which boasts some of the world’s finest powder snow.

The resort is divided into two areas, the “Furano Zone” and the “Kitanomine Zone,” and features a total of 28 diverse courses. In 2022, to commemorate the resort’s 60th anniversary, six new courses making use of the natural terrain were added. Among them, Furano Forest, where you can ski as if navigating a maze through the woods, and Furano Wave, which offers ups and downs and jumps, are popular with children and beginners alike. The kids’ school and family activity areas are also well-equipped, making the resort especially popular with families during winter vacation. Night skiing is also available, allowing visitors to enjoy the slopes after dark.

The “Shin Furano Prince Hotel” is directly connected to the slopes, allowing ski-in/ski-out access. Nearby is Ningle Terrace, a popular shopping area of charming log-house shops nestled among the trees. In summer, visitors can enjoy lavender and hot air balloon rides, making it possible to fully experience nature throughout the year.
