Toguchi-no-Hama Beach
A natural beach known for its stunning scenery and endless stretches of silky, powdery white sand.
Located on Irabu Island, about 5 kilometers northwest of Miyako Island, Toguchi-no-Hama Beach is one of the area’s most popular beaches, celebrated for its crystal-clear waters and beautiful white sand. Situated on the southern side of the island, the beach forms a gentle arc, creating a naturally graceful shoreline.
The beach stretches for about 800 meters, with fine, powdery white sand that feels soft and smooth underfoot-perfect for barefoot walks. Facilities such as showers are available, making it an ideal and comfortable spot for swimming. The pristine, transparent waters also attract many visitors who enjoy marine activities beyond swimming.
From the beach, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Shimoji Island, Kurima Island, and Miyako Island, their lush greenery contrasting beautifully with the bright cobalt-blue sea. In the evening, Toguchi-no-Hama transforms into a spectacular sunset spot, where the sky and sea glow in vivid shades of red, orange, and pink as the sun dips below the horizon.
