Conan Street
A town where smiles, inspiration, and Detective Conan come together.
This sightseeing street is in Hokuei Town, Tottori Prefecture, the hometown of Gosho Aoyama, the creator of the popular manga series Detective Conan. Stretching for about 1.4 kilometers from Conan Station (JR Yura Station) to the Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory, the street is packed with attractions that can captivate visitors of all ages.
The street is lined with photo-worthy spots, including character bronze statues, stone monuments designed with comic book covers, and Conan-themed manholes. You can also enjoy interactive experiences as you stroll, such as solving mysteries with a smartphone app and taking AR photos at the stone monuments.
At Conan's House Beika Shopping Street, located about halfway along the street, you can enjoy dining and shopping while immersing yourself in the world of Detective Conan. The gate to Kudo Residence, which appears in the original manga, even has a fun surprise when you press the intercom...
JR Yura Station, affectionately known as Conan Station, is also full of Conan-themed sights everywhere you look. Famous scenes from the manga are illustrated on the glass windows in the waiting room, and when you look up, you will see rows of character illustrations across the ceiling. At the tourist information center attached to the station building, autograph boards by Gosho Aoyama and the voice actors are also on display.
