I watched a Japanese drama about Masataka Taketsuru, the Father of Japanese Whisky, going to Scotland—not only did he learn how to make whisky, but he also met his wife Rita. Knowing this story made visiting the distillery so much more interesting!

Very satisfied! It's super close to Sendai Station, and the pillows and bed in the room are really comfortable. The location is so convenient—it's awesome to be able to get back to the hotel so quickly after transferring trains!
-
The whole hotel feels really comfortable, with a beautiful and quiet environment. The food is great too. Plus, the hotel offers a shuttle service, and you can take their bus to Sendai Station when you check out!

Getting here isn't very convenient, so I recommend using a Klook tour to solve the transportation issue. Also, it's best to visit in winter because the foxes' fur is super fluffy and cute! In summer, they shed their fur.

Momiji manju is kind of like a cake with filling. If you like sweets with filling, you might enjoy it, but personally, I prefer simple flavors and still think plain castella cake tastes better.
-
The charred pork oil soy sauce ramen has a thick layer of pork oil, but the soy sauce flavor is a bit weak. This taste just isn't really my thing!
-
Kinkaku-ji is really beautiful, but you can see everything in less than 20 minutes!

If you don't like traditional Japanese ramen that's too salty or oily, the Yakiago Shio Ramen is the best choice. The broth has a nice seafood sweetness to it.

Compared to the spicy flavors that are popular in Taiwan lately, the light salt flavor is just right—not too salty, and it feels light. It's tasty all the way to the last chip, and you won't get tired of the flavor halfway through!
-
I loved visiting this shop! You can buy soup stock packs as souvenirs for friends and family, and also take some home to cook for your loved ones. The prices are much better than Japanese product specialty stores in Taiwan!

Every time I come to Japan, I love buying handkerchiefs. Even though tissues and wet wipes are convenient these days, for someone like me (and my family) who has sweaty hands, a handkerchief is super important. Also, it just feels nice to carry one! It's always fun to find good cotton handkerchiefs with cute designs. For kids, this brand is perfect, so I picked one up right away!

In winter, the trees along the paths in Morioka Castle Ruins Park are covered in snow. It's a different kind of beauty, but I bet the park is even more stunning in other seasons!
-
The inn is surrounded by mountains and forests, so it really feels like a hidden retreat. The interior is simple, and there are spots like the Yachi Marsh Observatory, Yakushi Pond Trail, and Hakkoda Southern Mountain Range Observatory nearby. After breakfast, you can take a walk in the nearby forest or highlands!

This is a small family-run guesthouse, and the dorms are upstairs. There's a little kitchen with a traditional Japanese dining table. Lots of travelers from different countries stay here. The owners are super friendly and always happy to help. If you need anything, just ask—they can even help you plan your trip.

A few years ago, Black Thunder chocolate was super popular in Taiwan. I bought the bars back then, but I didn't really get why everyone was so crazy about them. They taste pretty good, but I didn't understand the hype. Still, I always pick some up as souvenirs because it's a fun topic to share with friends and family—like, 'Hey, this is Black Thunder!'

Maesawa beef from Oshu City in Iwate is really famous. They call it 'Matsusaka in the west, Maesawa in the east' for black-haired wagyu. The marbling is perfect, and it's not greasy at all. If you come here, you have to try the Maesawa beef!

It is a cozy restaurant where breakfast, lunch and dinner can be enjoyed while looking directly at Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Tower.
There are heaters and beach umbrellas so you can use it at various times.
Here is my recommendation to enjoy both delicious food and wonderful scenery. -
It’s a high-end shabu-shabu restaurant, and was famous for the “
Tamata beef”. My Japanese friend took me there, and it was my first time
to eat shabu-shabu. I would say the experience was so fun and
and the meat tasted so soft and good. Yummy!
