When you think of Asakusa, you think of the big lantern at Kaminarimon. The Wind and Thunder Gods guard Sensoji Temple on both sides. After passing through the huge lantern, you reach a bustling shopping street packed with people.
This mountain isn't very high, but it's really windy and cold at the top after taking the cable car up.
The view is wide open—you can see the ocean, and there's even a golf course nearby.
I couldn't quite figure out the proper way to pray at Izumo Taisha. I noticed the locals did it differently, which made me a bit flustered. But I believe sincerity matters most—I'm sure the gods won't be upset with me. 😅
