It’s all about praying for good weather, and the whole theme is really fun. Hoping we get great weather for this trip too 🙏

We happened to be there during Tanabata season, and it felt lively the moment we arrived. The whole shopping street was covered in decorations, and it instantly put me in an even better travel mood!

When you come to Atami, pretty much everyone buys one to eat.
If you pass through Atami and don’t try it, it seriously feels like you’re missing something.

That giant camphor tree is seriously impressive.
Standing next to it, you can feel this powerful energy hitting you.
A lot of people come here to pray for good health and a long life.

Tucked away in a residential neighborhood—if you’re not paying attention, you could totally walk right past it. It’s not noisy like a typical tourist spot, so it feels really relaxing.

The moment you step onto the approach, it really has that old Tokyo vibe. Time feels like it slows down, and it’s perfect to pair with a visit to the temple to pray.

That lion hall is seriously unreal. The first time you see it, you kind of freeze for a second.
The mouth is HUGE—perfect for photos and check-ins.

The view of Shirakawa-go from the observatory is seriously amazing. You can see the whole village at once—totally worth coming up here.

When the weather’s nice, the reflections on the water are really beautiful.
If you’re taking photos, try a few different angles.

The night view from Mt. Hakodate is seriously insane.
Seeing it in person is like 10x more impressive than photos—no wonder people call it a world-class night view.

  • Inside, it’s more like a cultural and creative shopping mall, selling lots of cute little items and Hokkaido specialties.
You can find cheesecake, Jaga Pokkuru, chocolates—pretty much all the classics.

  • Besides praying for safe travels, Kaeru Shrine is also a great place to wish for family harmony and safety.

  • Most of the buildings on Hanamikoji Street are teahouses and restaurants. They keep their old-fashioned look and interior decor, making you feel like you've traveled back to the Edo period.

  • The buildings inside the shrine are really well preserved. The main hall's gorgeous decorations and intricate carvings show off the artistic beauty of traditional Japanese architecture.

  • The restaurants and snack shops here offer a wide variety of food, from traditional Japanese dishes to Western fast food. It's a great spot for travelers to enjoy a tasty meal during a short stop.

  • This is one of Tokyo's most popular spots—it's always packed! Super close to the subway, and not far from Tokyo Skytree either!

  • There are lots of kimono rental shops near Kiyomizu-dera. Since I came all this way, I definitely recommend trying it out.

  • The scenery here changes completely with each season. Every time you visit, you'll find a totally different and charming view.

  • I still prefer the lively atmosphere and environment of the old Tsukiji Market.

  • I arrived at Fushimi Inari Taisha in the evening and was surprised to see so many visitors. Since it was already dark, I didn't go further up.

  • There were so many happy kids running and playing at the fountain plaza. It's a beautiful museum.

  • Both sides are covered with untouched forests. Floating down the river feels like passing through endless mountains.

  • This shopping street is super long—2.6 kilometers! By the time I finished walking, my legs felt like they weren't even mine anymore.

  • You can get up close in the park and admire the impressive Akashi Kaikyo Bridge! Such an amazing feat of engineering.

A 10-minute cruise is just enough to get a taste of the experience. That way, you'll be left wanting more.

  • I really enjoy strolling through the traditional Takayama Old Town. There are so many different things to buy. The only downside is that there aren't enough public restrooms—I hope that gets improved.

  • During wisteria season, the place gets way too crowded. It's a long walk from where the tour buses drop you off to the park, and there's no crowd control—so many people everywhere!
