  • The Ferris wheel next to the shopping plaza really stands out at night with its lights. The atmosphere at the port gets even better in the evening.

  • After passing through the tunnel, you'll reach the first observation deck. Then, take the elevator up one level for another viewing platform with even more beautiful scenery.

  • There are lots of cruise companies operating in Matsushima, and you don't need a reservation or to wait—boats are running all the time.

  • The lake view is absolutely stunning—such a charming and captivating scene!

  • Climbing up was tiring, but the view at the top is gorgeous. Definitely worth the effort.

The mountain path isn't difficult at all, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants along the way.

  • You need to reserve and buy tickets in advance—there's no way to just walk in.
