    The sea breeze was blowing from the side and made the bridge sway a lot. Walking on the suspension bridge was honestly a bit nerve-wracking.

    It takes less than 10 minutes to walk from the Noboribetsu Onsen area to Jigokudani. This is where all the hot springs in Noboribetsu originate.

    It really feels like being in a European town—such picturesque scenery! The Ice Festival in winter is a unique local event you shouldn't miss.

    Meiji Shrine is always packed with people coming for the first shrine visit of the New Year. It's the most popular spot every year.

    They have all kinds of cacti here—such a huge variety! The capybara hot spring show is just adorable! 😍

    Some of the facilities here are free, making it a great spot for kids to burn off their energy.

    There are lots of cold-climate animals at this zoo. The penguin parade only happens when it's cold and there's snow on the ground.

    There weren't many visitors in the park, so you can take your time walking around, checking things out, and enjoying the rides. The nighttime illumination here is probably the best in the Kanto area.

  • There are so many deer here! They're all waiting for tourists to feed them deer crackers.

  • This is the kind of food fishermen usually eat, so the portions are way bigger than normal. They definitely don't skimp here.

  • This is a historic old ryokan in Gero Onsen. It's been around for ages, so the location is great—really close to the station. A classic Japanese hot spring inn.

  • Watching the ocean, enjoying the sunset, soaking in the hot springs, and having great food—this was such a fun trip to Japan! 🥰

  • Besides the usual seasonal items, they also have local farm produce, which is really interesting!
