  • There's a 276-meter-long tunnel inside the waterfall area, and you can walk straight from the tunnel exit to the viewing platform. It's really convenient and safe.

  • Every New Year, this temple has the second highest number of visitors after Meiji Shrine. The main street is lined with souvenir shops and restaurants. It's definitely the most iconic temple in the Narita area.

  • February and March are when the plum blossoms are in full bloom, so it gets really crowded. Then in April, you can enjoy cherry blossoms, and in May, the azaleas. It's a great place for flower viewing all spring.

  • After visiting the Ghibli Museum, I stopped by here. Lots of people come with their kids and pets. It's a fantastic park for relaxing.

  • The most famous thing here is the statue of Dr. Clark. From the observation deck, you can see the Sapporo Dome and the city skyline.

  • This is a famous old entertainment district in Japan. You can still spot geisha here. The buildings on both sides aren't tall and there aren't any flashy signs—probably high-end restaurants. During the day, most places aren't open so it feels pretty quiet. A lot of people prefer to visit at night.
