It was actually more fun to explore than I expected! The self-driving cars weren't that impressive (but not bad either). The whole place really gives off a futuristic city vibe! 😲

  • Love Tatsuro Yamashita's 'RIDE ON TIME'—it's the theme song from Kimura Takuya's 'GOOD LUCK.' City pop like this just has to be enjoyed on vinyl!

    Awesome!!
They have two kinds: Tsubu-an (with whole beans) and Koshi-an (smooth and fine, no bean texture).
Personally, I highly recommend the Tsubu-an!

The sushi at the restaurant was amazing! It felt way more upscale than your average sushi place. Highly recommend it~

This is the setting for Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen-mae Hashutsujo 😊
Once you leave Shibamata Station, you walk through the old street and you'll get there in no time.
Along the way, you'll see lots of photos of Tora-san.
    It feels so nostalgic.
Just a reminder—make sure to visit the temple before grabbing something to eat!

  • A must-visit spot at Lake Tazawa.
You can not only pray here but also get a matchmaking amulet~

Tokyo's nightlife hotspot and a must-visit for photos!
Honestly, I think the ratio of foreigners to Japanese here is like 9 to 1. 😏

  • The squirrels are super cute, but honestly, the smell is a bit much...
If you're planning to visit, it's probably best to come in autumn or winter.

    A must-see spot in Nagano.
The black and white castle looks stunning against the backdrop of the Northern Alps.
I was in a bit of a rush this time, so next time I definitely want to stay overnight in Matsumoto and take my time exploring.

  • Even though Jiyu Gakuen Myonichikan isn't that big overall, you can easily spend an entire afternoon here without even noticing.

I happened to catch the Darkness Festival, and it was packed with people and super lively. There were so many food stalls I lost count!
It was my first time in Fuchu City and I had a really good impression.
    Highly recommend!

I visited on a Saturday and it was super lively. Honestly, it’s just as busy as Shibuya’s main shopping street.
The restaurants here feel especially cheap and totally worth it! 🉐

I didn't realize there was still quite a walk after climbing up here...

Do they have hot spring facilities too? I definitely want to try it next time~

    Whoa??
Drank so much, it feels like I'm in Asakusa, not Shibuya! 😯
I had so much to drink, I couldn't even find my way... 🤭

The Kaminarimon Gate at night is super cool! 😎
Honestly, Sensoji Temple feels even more atmospheric at night than during the day! 🐲

They say this was a masterpiece by Date Masamune. Both the trees and the architecture are incredibly detailed and impressive.
It's especially nice to visit together with Matsushima!

Daytime or evening—Matsushima is stunning at any time! No matter the season or hour, it's always beautiful! 🥰

    Uncle Rikuro’s Cheesecake~~~😋
The soft and bouncy sponge cake is amazing! The sweetness is just right and the cheese flavor isn’t too strong. A must-buy in Osaka!

I went a few years ago. There’s not just horse racing, but also great food and entertainment events.
I couldn’t really understand what was going on, but it was lively.
I think there were comedians performing or something like that. 🤭

I've been to Tokyo many times, but this was my first time in Yokohama. Of course, I had to stroll around Chinatown and check it out~

    Absolutely stunning...
The nature in Tohoku really feels like nowhere else on earth.

There are tons of cherry trees planted along the Meguro River. At the end of March, the cherry blossoms form a spectacular pink tunnel. The best way to enjoy the 4-kilometer stretch of blossoms is by taking a river cruise. At night, the crowds get bigger, and there are lots of food stalls along the way, so you won't go hungry. The nighttime cherry blossom lights are on until 9 p.m.

Since I just returned to Taiwan from Narita Terminal 2 on October 12, 2022, here's an update on the airport. In the early days after visa-free entry reopened, the departure hall on the third floor was still pretty empty and quiet. About half of the shops and restaurants on the fourth floor were still closed. According to the staff at the open stores, the closed shops would start hiring and training staff from November, so some will reopen then. I believe the airport will get much busier in the future.

Also, there's now a new low-cost bus (LCB) running between Narita Airport and Tokyo since August 2022. It goes to places like Kawaguchi, Toyosu Market, Ikebukuro, Shibuya, and Ginza. A one-way ticket is less than JPY 2,000, so it's definitely worth considering for your next trip.

This is an outdoor sculpture park. The weather wasn't great when I visited, but it's still an awesome place for taking Instagram-worthy photos. Definitely worth a visit if you get the chance!

Entering the land of Japanese deities—Takachiho Gorge is located in Mitai, Takachiho Town, Nishiusuki District, Miyazaki Prefecture. The most famous spot in the gorge is the Manai Falls, which is listed among Japan's top 100 waterfalls and is now designated as a scenic spot and natural monument.

It's super easy to get here—just a 5-minute walk from Fuchu Station on the Keio Line. The path to the shrine is lined with famous zelkova trees, and right next to Japan's largest granite torii gate, there's a zelkova that's about 400 years old—the oldest one around.

This is the spiritual center for Tokyo’s Edo-era locals and has a long history. The huge red lantern is a super recognizable landmark. With the nearby shopping streets, restaurants, Sumida River, and Tokyo Skytree, plus easy access, the whole area is a great spot for sightseeing.

The scenery along the way is absolutely beautiful—no wonder this is called one of the most scenic railway routes in Japan. There’s even a cart selling snacks and Akita specialties on board, so you never get bored. The rice paddy art is especially cool, and the view from inside the train is the best angle to see it.

There's a very famous torii gate by the lake, and the steps are lined with ancient, towering trees. The shrine has over a thousand years of history, and generations of warriors and travelers have come here to pray. Hakone itself is also a super popular travel destination.
