Keio Department Store really has a friendly, local neighborhood vibe.
It’s never too crowded, so walking around is super comfortable.
The food floor in the basement was a nice surprise.
The bento and desserts are consistently good quality.
Compared to the big department stores in Shinjuku, you don’t have to squeeze through people here at all. Super chill place to shop.

  • Their buffet is super famous—you can get Chinese, Western, and Japanese dishes, but the highlights are definitely the dim sum, roast meats, and seafood. The shrimp dumplings have thin wrappers and juicy shrimp, and the char siu isn't overly sweet. There's also a section for Japanese fried foods and desserts, so you can really eat your fill.
The seafood is pretty fresh—the crab legs and shrimp are sweet. For desserts, the mango pudding and black sesame soup are my favorites.
