Founded in 1029, Yoshimine-dera is the 20th temple on the Saigoku Kannon pilgrimage. Thanks to its location in the mountains, you can see areas of Kyoto and Mt. Hiei from various parts of the temple.

With cherry blossoms and hydrangea in the spring, and beautiful colored leaves in the fall, you can enjoy colorful flowers and trees year-round at Yoshimine-dera.

Yoshimine-dera is far from Kyoto Station, and busses run to the temple once every hour. Part of the temple’s appeal is its low number of tourists.
