Hokkaido – Surprising Large Snow Sculptures! Sapporo Snow Festival
A Large-Scale Winter Event You Must See At Least Once!
There are three sites to enjoy the Sapporo Snow Festival: Odori site, Tsudome site, and Susukino site.
The concepts for the festival are different at each site, making for triple the fun! Admission is free!
Location
Odori Site
The main site, Odori Park, features snow sculptures large and small lined up over 1.5 kilometers. In recent years, this location has featured projection mapping against the large snow sculptures.
The “Hokkaido Food Plaza” is also open during the event period, where you can enjoy Hokkaido specialties!

Susukino Site
At the Susukino site, around 60 ice sculptures are on display. There are must-see sculptures, including entries into ice sculpture contests. There is even the “Fureai Hiroba” (Contact Plaza) where visitors can touch or even climb on the sculptures! Warm drinks are also available.

Tsudome Site
The theme of the Tsudome site is contact with snow through nature. Enjoy activities like ice-slides and sledding slopes in an area reminiscent of a snowy country!
