Nagasaki – Kyushu's No.1 Fireworks Contest
The Kyushu's No.1 Fireworks Contest is western Japan’s largest fireworks display, during which over 22,000 fireworks will be launched!
The festival is held in Japan’s largest theme park, “Huis Ten Bosch,” located in Nagasaki Prefecture. It is a large-scale event for which top-level fireworks specialists gather. Additionally, there are plenty of other things to see during the festival, such as the “Hanabi World Cup” which decides which fireworks specialist is the world’s best, the “Odama 100 Concurrent Fireworks Launch,” and the finale, “Special Starmines”!
Hanabi World Cup
The “Hanabi World Cup” is held to find the greatest fireworks specialist from not only Japan, but from across the world. Preliminary competitions are held prior to this event to determine the overseas representatives, and the main event, to be held on September 21st of 2019, will pit Japan’s team against the victorious overseas team from the qualifiers.
Odama 100 Concurrent Fireworks Launch
Don’t even blink or you’ll miss it! Be sure to not miss these concurrently launched fireworks; it’ll have ended before you know it!
Finale
The finale is known as “Special Starmines,” where 5000 fireworks are launched within just 5 minutes. Enjoy the beautiful and artful fireworks creations until the very end!
