Flying Garden is a super-popular Hamburg steak restaurant whose signature dish is the “Bakudan Hamburg Steak.” It has over 60 locations across Gunma, Tochigi, Ibaraki, Saitama, and Chiba Prefectures.
This article will be introducing the Sayama location of Flying Garden in Saitama Prefecture.

This time, I went to “Saiboku Ham,” a ham theme park in Saitama Prefecture, and I’d meant to get lunch there, but since it was a holiday the lines were super long!
So, I just picked up what I wanted to buy and came to this Flying Garden location nearby.
It was definitely the right choice!

I was lucky with my timing and was able to get a seat without much of a wait.

The menu is packed with a variety of Hamburg steaks, but since this was my first time visiting I ordered their specialty, the “Bakuretsu Hamburg Steak”!

You can choose between 200g, 250g, and two 200g Hamburg steaks.
They offer 4 types of sauces: Japanese-style, garlic, super-tasty cheese, and wasabi cream.

You can change the rice that comes with the meal sets to garlic rice for just 59 yen extra.
The rice comes with as many extra portions as you want, but when you order the garlic rice, extra helpings will be the regular white rice.
You can also choose bread with your set instead of rice.

This time I ordered the Japanese-style sauce with the A-set (salad, garlic rice) for 410 plus 63 yen.

The Hamburg steak was made with 100% beef from Australia and New Zealand.
It was brought out sizzling hot!

The Dish is Finished Before Your Eyes!

The restaurant staff deftly cuts the steak in half right in front of you and adds the sauce before serving.
As they do that, the juices and sauce pop up from the heat, so they block it with the tablemat.

The inside of the steak was still rare, so you can lightly press it down to cook it further.
The delicious aroma of the meat assailed me!

Apparently the smoke coming up from the steak was bomb-like enough that this dish was named “Bakudan (Bomb) Hamburg Steak.”

Done! Time to Dig In!

The “restaurant’s secretly-flavored” Japanese-style sauce is packed with lots of onion and daikon radish!
It had an irresistible soy sauce aroma!

The inside of the Hamburg steak was cooked to a beautiful medium-rare! It was piping hot and juicy! Yum!

The garlic rice was served on a hot iron plate.
The rice is packed with deliciously aromatic garlic and butter, and when you take a bite with the Hamburg steak it’s absolute bliss!

Thanks to the iron plate the rice was kept warm right up to the end, and the crispy bits at the bottom were tasty too!

I was super satisfied having gotten this tasty of a Hamburg steak at such a great price!
They also have beef steak and chicken steaks, and you’d be sure to have a good time with a group of
