In Shizuoka's Fuji-no-Miya City, There's Cheap and Comfortable Cabin House YADO
Cabin House YADO is located in Fuji-no-Miya, a city in Shizuoka Prefecture.
Cheaper than a business hotel, it's much more comfortable than a typical capsule hotel.
Here, I'd like to introduce this hotel, recommended as a base for business or leisure activities in the areas around Mount Fuji!
It just opened in March of 2017, and room rates run about ¥2500 per night.
It's just 3 minutes on foot to Sengen-Taisha, Mount Fuji's main Shinto Shrine, and a 5-minute walk to Fuji-no-Miya Station and Aeon Shopping Mall.
There are pharmacies and convenience stores nearby, as well as Marugame-Seimen, part of a popular udon noodle chain.
Another good point about this place is that your luggage can be held here before check-in or after checkout.
The parking lots are a little far from the hotel.
Free parking is available for 19 cars.
On this day, there was plenty of space to park.
From here, everyone takes a towel and any other necessities.
The room wear, towels and toothbrushes are free, so you can come here empty-handed!
Snacks and cup noodles are sold here.
It's very spacious, with a nice ambience.
There are free drink vending machines on the first and second floors. Oolong tea, green tea, Doutor Coffee and "active" carbonated water are offered. Drink as much as you like!
On each floor, the lounge is equipped with a microwave and hot water pot.
From here, we enter the lodging area. Women are on the second floor, men on the third floor. Beyond these doors, you won't meet members of the opposite sex.
The door operates on a card authentication system, so security is assured.
Although the room rate is reasonable, the interior truly has the air of a traditional Japanese inn.
Unfortunately, there is no elevator.
In the third floor lounge, you can eat take-out food.
This is the PC booth. Fully equipped with wireless LAN and electrical outlets, you can do work here. There's also free WiFi throughout the building.
A curtain serves as the cabin's entrance and exit.
Such a Wide Cabin! Recommended for those who Avoid Capsule Hotels
There are four room types, and this time, I reserved a wide cabin that cost ¥500 extra.
This wasn't a bunk bed. With a high ceiling above, I felt no sense of something pressing on me.
The selection is limited, but you can watch as many movies or anime as you like!
The interior design is really first-rate.
You can use the washer and dryer for free! Laundry detergent is sold on the first floor.
There are 6 individual rooms in the shower booth on the second and third floors. Each one has shampoo, conditioner and body soap.
The washbasins are fully equipped with hair dryers, cleansing cream, facial cleansers, toilet water and milky lotion.
The rooms are cheap, spacious and clean. With gender-separate floors, even a single woman can feel secure here. The members of staff are also kind.
What's more, many things are offered for free, from parking and WiFi to amenities, drinks, movies and washing machines.
I really had a pleasant stay here!
