Egg Sandwiches and Plenty of Seasonal Fruits! “Es Presso Coffee GREEN”
“Es Presso Coffee GREEN” is located in a residential area about a 10-minute walk from JR Hanwa Line’s “Shinodayama Station” in Osaka Prefecture’s Izumiotsu City. It may look like an old coffee shop, but in actuality it’s a café with great deals on its items, so I decided to stop by right away!
Have a Video Too!
Apparently the café is packed with local regulars in the morning. For my first visit, I decided to stop by a bit before lunchtime.
There still weren’t too many customers inside, and there was a nice, relaxing atmosphere.
Menu
Their set menu had pictures of all options, making it easy to understand. Each set comes with coffee or black tea.
There were so many options with seasonal fruits!
※Visit was in August
I was interested in the thick-sliced toast that came with the A set…
I ended up ordering the B set (sandwich set).
The set came with a sandwich, fruit, salad, eggs, and either coffee or black tea.
You can get a hot sandwich instead for an extra 50 yen.
Food
The food is prepared as orders come in, so it took a bit to come out, but as a result you get nice, fresh food.
Iced Coffee
I decided on iced coffee as my drink.
The slightly bitter coffee was super tasty!
B Set (Sandwich Set) 600 yen
The set came with so much food that it would hardly fit on the plate!
The fruits of the day for this visit were pineapple, orange, apple, watermelon, banana, pear, fig, 2 types of grapefruit, and Pione grapes.
The set also came with salad, corn, and a boiled egg.
I started with the egg sandwich.
This egg sandwich isn’t the currently-popular style that uses thick omelets, but rather the old-fashioned version made with hard-boiled eggs and mayonnaise.
The bread was very fluffy and pleasant. And the sandwich was packed with filling! The ham, cucumber, and mayonnaise made for great accent flavors in a delicious sandwich.
Just this egg sandwich and an iced coffee would run you 600 yen at other shops.
The salad was cabbage-based. It also had thin slices of bitter melon, and the melon’s unique bitter flavor was a pleasant addition. It was finished off with raisins on top!
The corn was boiled and then lightly grilled. It was really sweet and juicy!
The set also came with so much fruit that you could just forget about the sandwich!
Pione grapes are seedless, so they’re super delicious eaten whole and skin-on.
And the melon, which I saved for last…
Each piece of fruit was juicy and sweet!
If you eat all of this fruit, you’re sure to get a healthy dose of vitamins!
I enjoyed my trip to this lovely café so much that I really want to keep coming back!
