Nogi-jinja Shrine
A Shrine Filled with Greenery, Offering Blessings in Victory, Study and Marital Harmony.
This shrine is dedicated to General "Maresuke Nogi" and his wife "Shizuko Nogi", who were military figures during the Meiji era. The achievements of his lifetime are said to provide blessings to those seeking luck in victory or scholarship.
What’s more, since the origin of this shrine is based on a couple, and the god of marital harmony is enshrined here, it’s a popular place to hold wedding ceremonies. The 2 lucky charms for marital harmony sold here are such hits that they have become difficult to get.
In the 5th year of Reiwa (2023), it is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its enshrinement, with numerous commemorative events and celebrations.
