Forging Glass by Fire! A Glass-Blowing Experience to Make Your One-of-a-Kind Piece
At Tsukiyono Vidro Park you’ll find Japan’s largest glassworks studio for making handmade glass. This same equipment is also available for a wide range of crash courses and tours. Whether you’re an adult or fun-loving kid, this spot is perfect for trying the hands-on thrills of making things!
Choosing from 8 different hands-on tours, we’ll try out the Glass-blowing Class. You can choose your own difficulty level, from the “Enjoy Course”, “Beginner Course”, and “Challenge Course”, based on which item you choose to make. There are over 20 different shapes to pick and choose from. After mulling over all the options, we’ll first try the beginner course, making a tumbler glass.
To start, we make the glass. You may not know where to start, but there’s a professional glass artisan who will tell you what to do first, so you don’t have to worry. Plus, if you have any questions along the way you can always ask as you go. They’re happy to help!
Because glasses will easily break if they are cooled too quickly, pickup of your final glass may only be available via next day pickup, or by delivery to a nearby hotel (additional fee). There are some items that you can take home on the same day, so please be sure to ask before starting. Once you have your one-of-a-kind, handmade glass, every sip you take will become that much more memorable and fun!
