Lake Kawaguchi is known as one of the five Fuji lakes and is a popular spot because of its spectacular view of Mt. Fuji. The lakeside is filled with cherry blossoms in the spring, purple lavender in early summer, and autumn leaves in the fall, making each season a different and beautiful sight. Lake Kawaguchi is also known for having the only "island" and "bridge" in the Fuji Five Lakes.
Unoshima Island, with a circumference of about 700 meters, is designated as a cultural asset by Fujikawaguchiko Town. The scenery of Unoshima Island with Mt. Fuji in the background from Oishi Park is popular. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi from the 500-meter-long Kawaguchiko Bridge, which has been selected as one of the 100 best roads in Japan.
The area around Lake Kawaguchi is also full of sightseeing spots: Fuji-Q Highland, one of the most popular thrill-focused amusement parks in eastern Japan, the Museum of Art where you can enjoy unique artworks, and Mt. Fuji Panorama Ropeway, where you can see both Lake Kawaguchi and Mt. Fuji Panorama Ropeway. They are all must-visit places if you go to Lake Kawaguchi.
