It is a large-scale commercial complex with Kintetsu Department Store Nara, AEON Style Nara, and specialty shopping zone Zoro. Since its opening in 1972 as a dual-core large-scale shopping center, it has been renovated and reconstructed to become the current style.
The three facilities include retailers offering a wide range of genres such as gourmet dining, shopping, fashion, and a variety of goods, as well as convenient facilities for citizen services such as a passport center and post office.
The name “Zoro'' is derived from the Japanese word “sozoro aruku” (strolling). When the specialty shopping zone reopened in 2016, it became a hot topic for inviting many brands new to Nara Prefecture. The space design is based on the image of “Yamato Modern”, which is modernized Tenpyo culture, and you can enjoy shopping in a sophisticated atmosphere. You will notice that each floor has a different design concept.
There is a sky garden on the rooftop, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Heijo PalaceSite and Mt. Kasuga. You may want to try the BBQ facility “Digiq BBQ Garden”. (Closed during the winter, advance reservations are required). Also on the 5th floor, there is the “Musik Saal Akishino”, a concert hall dedicated to classical music with about 300 seats. The food court on the first basement floor and the restaurants on the 6th floor offer a wide variety of gourmet foods. There are plenty of things to keep you occupied all day long.
