Awaroha Diner stands by Awashima Island’s shore and opens only between May and October. The dazzling Seto Inland Sea is visible from the diner’s terrace and indoor seats. Enjoy the beautiful location and food in the scent of ocean breeze.
The owner-fisherman brings fresh fish he catches everyday and serves it along with other crisp ingredients. Everything served here is homemade down to dressings, sauces, and soups. Ingredients in season from Awashima’s ocean and mountains are arranged into the famous Awaroha Teishoku, a set menu, which is great for lunch or dinner.
After a tour on the island, take a break and enjoy some sweets. Awaroha Parfait is pretty with fruits in season and a favorite among many.
The dishes are all Yachimun or Ryukyu glass-ware from Okinawa. The island food in season looks gorgeous in these dishes and perfect for posting the photos on social media.
Within the diner, local artist’s work is displayed and you can enjoy it while you eat. It’s so much like Awashima where art is actively practiced.
