At this animal zoo you’ll find almost 1,400 different animals, representing 105 different specials in total. With 199,000 square meters of sprawling space, the grounds allow for natural enclosures that closely imitate the animals natural habitats, allowing them to thrive. The park is divided into 5 zones, each with its own noteworthy perks and elaborate exhibits to see.

In the Temperate Forest you’ll catch a glimpse of beavers swimming and red pandas as they climb up the tress. You’ll also find Japan’s only place to see three different varieties of otters all in one place, as they swim and play in an adorably heart-warming display.

The Tropical Forest is where you’ll find a family of chimpanzees as well as white-handed gibbons as they jump and fly across their tower 10 meters above the earth. There’s even adorable flying fox bats waiting for you as they swirl around their cave home.

At the Africa/Australia Zone there’s a larger than life setup that looks like the vast savanna with Mt. Sampo at it’s back. Here you’ll find plenty of animal favorites with a chance to look out over the giraffes and zebras from the observation deck, catch the Shoebill “statue bird” and even kangaroos jumping about the lush grass as the baby kangaroo joey’s poke their heads out from their pouches.

The Jungle Museum is another popular spot, with squalls and fog recreated just like you were getting lost in a real jungle rainforest. Here you’ll find birds and animals that reside in the trees, as well as reptiles and water-bound fish from Central America, South America and Southeast Asia for you to browse.

For the kiddos you won’t want to miss the Kids Zoo, filled with adorable little animals like penguins and prairie dogs to meet.
