Heijo Palace Site Historical Park, a national park spreading over the Heijo Palace Site, one of the constituent assets of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage "Ancient Capital of Nara" and a representative historical and cultural asset of Japan. Shujakumon Hiroba, which opened in March 2018 within the park, has five pavilions maintained under different themes of history, culture, and food.
One of them is IRACA COFFEE, a cafe that serves espresso and drip coffee in the food-themed Tenpyo Umashikan. The coffee is made mainly from beans roasted in Japan and is equipped with a high-performance latte art machine, the first of its kind introduced in Japan. The coffee tastes and looks authentic, and is sure to please. Light meals and sweets are also available, making it an easy stop regardless of the time of day.
The restaurant is bright, open, and comfortable, with a wall of glass. Enjoy a relaxing moment in the ancient capital of Nara while admiring the greenery of the lawn and trees, the restored Tang Dynasty envoy ship, and the scenery of the park.
